8-WEEK COURSE - STUDENT SHOWCASE DATE: NOVEMBER 22ND & 23RD
Take your scene work to another level by taking a deep dive into identifying and play the “game” of the scene. In this workshop, we will look at a style of improvisation popularized by the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and others.
 
In identifying the game of the scene, students will be able to find patterns that make the scene fun and interesting, and how to play and heighten the game of the scene for maximum comedic effect. Finding and playing the game will help students create scenes that are comedically and intellectually engaging. The UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) method is one of many that is used by comedy professionals to make their improv scene work look like sketch comedy.
 
Prerequisites: FOR AGES 18+ ONLY. Must have completed OKC Improv's Level 5 class or gain the permission of the instructor. To request permission email educationdirector@okcimprov.com.
Students under 18 years old may participate in our Teen Improv Classes.
