Learn how to tell multi-scene stories that follow the hero's journey, while creating dynamic worlds filled with rich characters and interesting settings to explore.
In the first of three narrative improv classes, Beginning Narrative will teach students how to tell multi-scene stories that follow the hero's journey, while building a strong ensemble of improv storytellers. Students will learn how to establish a protagonist and follow a story structure, alongside creating dynamic worlds filled with rich characters and interesting settings to explore. Students will perform a narrative show (40ish minutes) at the end of the course.
Join Alison (your narrative instructor) on this improv journey to expand your play and to bring stories like the ones you love to watch and read to our stage!
Prerequisites: FOR AGES 18+ ONLY. Must have completed OKC Improv's Level 5 class or gain the permission of the instructor. To request permission email educationdirector@okcimprov.com.
Students under 18 years old may participate in our Teen Improv Classes.
