OKC Improv, Oklahoma's premiere showcase for improv comedy and theater, continues its 5-week Summer Run at Ghostlight Theatre Club (3110 N Walker) with two awesome shows this Saturday, July 2 at 8pm and 10pm.

Made up of current and former OKC Improv students, The Laughing Stocks kick off the 8pm show with a short form improv set followed by the return of Fortune's Fools. Bringing together some of the metro's best actors and improvisers on one stage, Fortune's Fools creates original stories and characters in the style of William Shakespeare. The 8pm show will close out with the hybrid musical comedy of nationally recognized duo Twinprov, recently returned from performing at the Chicago, Colorado, and Twin Cities Improv Festivals.

OKC Improv will play host to a showcase of local stand-up comedians on at 10pm featuring James Curtis, Ryan Drake and Dan Skaggs. Leah Kayajanian will headline in one of her final Oklahoma performances before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. The event will be hosted by one of Oklahoma’s most respected comedians Brad Chad Porter. Porter and Skaggs are both members of OKC Comedy, OKC Improv’s sister organization, devoted to promoting local stand-up comedy as well as bringing in some of the biggest names in stand-up to OKC to perform.

OKC Improv, Oklahoma's premiere showcase for improv comedy and theater, continues its 5-week Summer Run at Ghostlight Theatre Club (3110 N Walker) with two awesome shows this Saturday, June 25 at 8pm and 10pm.

At 8pm The Newbs, a student troupe under the direction of Rory Littleton (Everybody and Their Dog), will make their OKC Improv debut followed by the return of
Kind of a Big Deal taught by Jodi Nestander (The MiDolls, Two’s Company). The 8pm will close out with the rambunctious antics of the metro's longest running troupe Everybody and Their Dog made up of a multi-talented cast of actors and improvisers.

A special raffle will be held during the 8pm show for a brand new iPad 2. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds will go toward workshop and travel expenses for The Newbs. The winner will be selected at the end of the 8pm show.

At 10pm
we've got the generation-spanning comedy of Two's Company as they create an entire fictional family history inspired by a single photograph followed by the return of the wryly witty Edmond-based duo Improv-ing The World. The 10pm will close out with the themed comedy of Oklahoma's one and only all-gal improv group The MiDolls

OKC Improv, Oklahoma's premiere showcase for improv comedy and theater, begins its 5-week Summer Run at Ghostlight Theatre Club (3110 N Walker) with two awesome shows this Saturday, June 18 at 8pm and 10pm.

At 8pm students from the Winter Level 1 and 2 Improv Classes will take the stage followed by the rambunctious antics of the metro's longest running troupe Everybody and Their Dog made up of multi-talented cast of actors and improvisers. The 8pm will close out with the
jazzy relationship-driven comedy of The Ones Your Mother Warned You About.

At 10pm
Short Order Crooks will open the show with their fast and furiously funny brand of short form improv followed by the themed comedy of Oklahoma's one and only all-gal improv group The MiDolls. The 10pm will close out with the hybrid musical comedy of nationally recognized duo Twinprov, recently returned from performing at the Chicago and Colorado Improv Festivals.

OKC Improv will begin a new session of weekly improv classes for adults starting Saturday, June 18, 2011, continuing through July 23 at Ghostlight Theatre Club (3110 N Walker, OKC). The Level 1 class will take place from 2-4pm followed by Level 2 from 4-6pm. There will also be a brand new Level 3 class starting at noon on June 18. Starting on June 25 class times will switch to Level 1 at 12pm, Level 2 at 2pm, and Level 3 at 4pm. Drop-ins are always welcome in the Level 1 class.
